Carbon of Compute connector · last updated 2026-10-30

This policy covers the Carbon of Compute connector at mcp.carbonofcompute.com. The connector is operated by REEL LCI (Scope Creep, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company doing business as REEL LCI), based in the United States. Contact: info@reellci.com.

What the connector receives

When an AI assistant uses the connector, it sends the name of a tool and its inputs, for example a model name, a grid region or a unit. The connector uses them only to work out the answer. Some assistants also attach metadata to each request, such as the user's language, an approximate location, the app version, or anonymous identifiers for the user, the conversation or the organization. The connector ignores this metadata and does not store it. It does not ask for, and is not sent, the text of your conversation, your name or your email address. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and the connector sets no cookies.

What is recorded

The connector does not record which tool was called or what was asked. It answers each request from data it already holds.

Cloudflare, which hosts the connector, keeps standard traffic records for the carbonofcompute.com domain, including requests that its security checks challenge or block. These records hold details such as the time, the address path, the network address, the country and the client type, but not the tool called or its inputs. The operator can see them in its Cloudflare account and uses them only to keep the service running and to stop abuse. Cloudflare keeps them for up to 31 days.

If a request fails because of a fault in the connector's own code, an error record is kept so the fault can be fixed. It holds the time, the type of error and the places in the code where it happened, which can show which tool failed. Cloudflare may add the same request details as in its traffic records. The error message and the request's inputs are not in it. Error records are deleted automatically after at most 7 days.

Hosting

The connector runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes the network address of each request to deliver it and to protect the service from abuse, and may do so in the United States or other countries, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. When Claude or ChatGPT call the connector, that address belongs to the assistant provider's servers. When an app on your own computer connects directly, it is your own address. If a Cloudflare security check challenges a browser, Cloudflare may set a cookie for that check.

Sharing

No data about you is sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone other than the hosting provider.

Your rights

Because the connector keeps no record of what you ask, there is normally nothing to access or delete. You can still ask what data is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to info@reellci.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
